Hello again!

Hi everyone Another gap between these blog posts! But again, I haven’t been idle, as there is a new post on My Other Blog, which you can read if you so wish. OK, is this going to be a post

Three reasonably priced skirts for wearing on a cruise

Hello everyone There’s been a bit of a gap, many apologies, but it’s just living a life, seeing people, various appointments and not sitting at my desk, which is good in a way. And also I’ve been thinking more about

This is getting to be quite a habit!

Hello again And yes, I’m at an art exhibition – again! This time it was at the Tate Britain and the Turner & Constable. Rivals and Originals. They were born within a year of each other, Turner in 1775 and

Coats! I love them! Here’s a look at some of them.

Hi everybody Well, the wretched weather continues in the UK with much rain and a lot of grey clouds. We do get some sun, but it is not every day. Down south, where I am, we might get 2 or

A holiday booked – that cheered me up!

Hi everyone I’m finally over that winter lurgy that so many people have had in the UK. It was a two week thing and I’m glad to see the back of it. Sadly my other half (Bill) is unwell now

A new year and new beginnings – hopefully!

Hi everyone That was a quite a break from blogging, apologies, but isn’t it a busy time! And, honestly, isn’t every day between Christmas and New Year like a month of Sundays? Every day seems to be the same. I

This is getting to be quite a habit!

Hi everyone We had yet another trip up to London. I feel as though I’m making up for a lost year! This time it was to the Tate Britain, which is a direct train to Victoria and the C10 bus.

What I wear to the supermarket! Plus some positive news and some not quite so

Hi everyone I said in the last post that I love dressing up even when I go grocery shopping. So here’s a look at what I wore last Saturday to the supermarket. Here I am at home in my bedroom

About me

My name is Penny Kocher, I am 80 years old, and I live in the UK, in a small county town called Lewes. I used to write two blogs: Frugal Fashion Shopper and My Other Blog.
My reasons for setting up this new blog is how do we make these years the ‘best of times’ whilst also acknowledging and dealing with our ageing bodies.

So, this new blog will have posts on health issues, but I will also write about films, television, books and visits to art galleries. Occasionally thrown into the mix will be a post on style, and ones that are more serious and/or political.

Above all I hope to have conversations with everyone who reads this blog.  Ageing comes to us all – let’s look at this ageing lark together!
